Albion has long been wanting to move Deportivo La Coruna Florin Andone, but it looks like they have finally given up as the club are fighting a relegation battle in La Liga.
Albion was supposed to take Andone during the summer transfer window but the move collapsed.
The 25-year-old has now become crucial for Deportivo as he helps the club with points.
Andone is popular with fans and even the president of the club Tino Fernandez is not interested in selling him without having a replacement lined up.
“I’ve been talking with Tino and there is no doubt,” Andone said.
“I want to be here and he wants me to be here – and hopefully for many years. There is no chance of me leaving this month.
“I’ve got three-and-a-half years left on my contract and, if tomorrow, Depor offered me a new deal, I’d sign for six or seven more years.”
