Arsene Wenger has enough of another underachieving season which sees his side failing to qualify for the Champions League for the second time, which caused the Arsenal boss to warn them as he prepares the coming of his new recruits.
Wenger’s side suffered a devastating defeat on Sunday against Nottingham Forest 4-2 in the FA Cup third round.
The Frenchman’s decision to make nine changes clearly did not do good against Nottingham as Arsenal were crushed at the City Ground.
Wenger insisted that he had to prioritise the League Cup showdown with Chelsea and wanted to keep his main men fresh against their upcoming clash at Stamford Bridge.
But it is clear though, that Wenger has had enough of another underachieving season for a second successive year.
Wenger wants several fresh faces as soon as possible as his main players are still uncertain if they want to stay with the club.
“Yes, because we are in the second week of January and, after that, it passes quickly,” Wenger said regarding his search for new players.
“We signed a Greek boy (Mavropanos) who looks quite good in training but apart from that, we have not done anything. Will we be out there to do something? Yes we will.”
