Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness has revealed talking to Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola for some needed advice regarding the club’s new manager.
Bayern fired head coach Carlo Ancelotti in September after giving a poor start to the season.
Now, Hoeness is looking for a possible new manager and is considering ex-Barcelona manager Luis Enrique and former Dortmund coach Thomas Tuchel.
Hoeness talked to Guardiola and asked the City boss about who to appoint.
“It was a friendly meeting between us and of course we exchanged ideas,” Hoeness said.
“I informed him who we will be appointing and this will be announced in the coming days, but he approved of the decision.
“We renewed our friendship and it was a productive meeting, but it was nothing more than that.”
