Newcastle United target Cenk Tosun has spoken out about his failed move to Crystal Palace during the summer and that he is very happy, it did not happen.
The Turkey international almost moved to Palace during the late stages of the summer transfer, fortunately, the deal fell through and he stayed with current club Besiktas until at least January.
The striker has played magnificently this season, scoring 11 times in all competitions, something he thinks would not be possible if moved with the Eagles.
“About my transfer to Crystal Palace, I can say that I’m very happy the move failed,” he said.
“Because I get to stay at the club and I am doing very well at the moment in both the league and the Champions League.”
Tosun is still linked with a move to England with Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur and Everton FC, all interested in signing him.
