Chelsea will have to assess if N’Golo Kante can play with them following his return from international duty with France.
Kante suffered a thigh injury and was forced off during France’s 1-0 win over Bulgaria on Friday. He will also not take part in their game against Belarus on Tuesday night.
Chelsea may have to assess the condition of Kante if he would be able to play on their trip to Selhurst Park on Saturday at 3 pm.
Chelsea’s medical staff will assess the player once he returns from his international duties since they still do not want to rule out the possibility of him being able to play against Palace.
Kante has not missed a game for Chelsea yet since the start of the season and it would be a big blow for Antonio Conte if his star player will miss a game against Palace although fans think that Chelsea are still the favourites to win and score points.
If Kante is not fit to play, Danny Drinkwater will be his replacement since he is still yet to feature for the blues.
Didier Deschamps talks about Kante’s injury following France’s 1-0 win.
“It’s a muscular problem behind the thigh,” Deschamps said.
“It is fixed for Tuesday. Kante and [Adrien] Rabiot have pretty much swapped.
“Kante has a very important role but Rabiot can play that role.
“The output of N’Golo may have destabilised the team, though that doesn’t take anything away from Adrien.”
