Everton could more than double their money if they sell Henry Onyekuru in January even if he doesn’t play for the club.
It looks like Juventus and Atletico Madrid are both interested in signing the player who was immediately sent on a season-long loan deal to Anderlecht because of work permit issues after Everton signed him for £7 million.
Onyekuru has now leapt into the £15 million bracket after gaining six goals in his last five games in the Belgian League and even impressing in Wednesday’s Champions League tie against Paris Saint-Germain.
Everton have an option to either help him with his work permit or just cash in and invest the money elsewhere despite still not having a replacement for Romelu Lukaku.
Juventus are now closely paying attention to the player and that the striker is beginning to sense that he has an option besides returning to Merseyside.
Everton’s leading scorer is Wayne Rooney with four and Onyekuru has six. Everton may really need to study their options.
