The 1-1 draw of the Spartak Moscow versus Liverpool left the latter’s manager Jurgen Klopp fuming on Tuesday night in Moscow. Unfortunately, the boss is also getting much criticism all over the social media platforms.
Apparently, the fans are blaming Klopp for his defensive setup. Moreover, other football enthusiasts did not like his strategy to rotate his goalkeepers in various competitions in this season.
Although criticism is part of the football manager’s life, it seems that it has gone overboard already. It even reached to that point where a popular basketball team was also forced to give their two cents.
It seems that the famous basketball team picked up Klopp’s statement when the latter specified them during one coaching in the game.
Klopp mentioned, “I said before the game to the boys ‘we are not the Harlem Globetrotters,’ he said. “We don’t go out to try to play beautiful football. We are here for results, so we play for results.”
However, since the Liverpool have not been producing great results lately, the Globetrotters gave out a message to justify their name. The basketball team took to its official Twitter account this message, which appears to be a satiric response to Klopp’s statement.
The tweet says, “If you want to talk results, we’ve won 4,211 consecutive games.”
