Now that Manchester United and Manchester City are head to head when it comes to scoring goals and wins, Joey Barton thinks that when winter comes City would slow down and United will finally lead.
City have already shown a great start at the season as they win five of their six Premier League games and scoring 21 goals.
United have also won five of their six games are just behind City on goal difference.
And while City have shown great skills, Barton believes that if it is between the two clubs, United will prevail since Jose Mourinho knows how to win and the upcoming weather may affect City’s players.
“I do mainly because the manager (Mourinho) is a serial winner, he knows how to win,” Barton said.
“Also I think when the cold weather comes and the fixture congestion comes, I think Man Utd have got the physicality to deal with it.
“If you remember last year City started like a house on fire and then the cold snap comes in.
“Them South Americans, I’m not too sure they like it when it gets cold here.”
City will play against Shakhtar Donetsk on Tuesday in a Champions League clash.
