Alexandre Lacazette goal 25 minutes but City restored their two-goal lead with Gabriel Jesus made it 3-1.

Arsene Wenger also complained after the referee’s whistle and awarded City a penalty shortly after the restart where Sergio Aguero had doubled City’s advantage and Kevin De Bruyne placed a stunning strike.

City’s performance in their game against Arsenal is to be admired as they were far superior in most departments especially with their central midfield where David Silva and De Bruyne worked in perfect harmony.

The two midfielders were dangerous and turn defence into an attack at such speed, Arsenal could not keep up.

Although Arsenal put up a good fight it could not be denied that Jesus made a terrific save and City made a third score when Silva, from an offside position, took Fernandinho’s pass and gave it to Jesus to score.
