Manchester City are reportedly eager to sign Southampton defender Ryan Bertrand in January since Benjamin Mendy is likely to set to miss the rest of the campaign due to a knee injury.
Bertrand progressed through the ranks at Chelsea in 2006 but never made a real place for himself in the first-team. He moved to Southampton in 2014 and became a regular fixture in the England National Side.
The 28-year-old has made 117 appearances for the Saints and is regarded as one of the best full-backs in the Premier League.
City have been eyeing Bertrand for a long time with Pep Guardiola is reported to be placings scouts to watch him play at a number of occasions.
Southampton are set to ask £30 million for Bertrand but it is still yet to be seen if Guardiola will accept the price.
