Jose Mourinho watched the game of Sweden vs Italy on Friday night and got interested in RB Leipzig’s Emil Forsberg.
Swedes took a 1-0 lead against Italy for the second leg of their World Cup play on Monday with the help of the 26-year-old which now secured their entry in Russia in 2018.
Forsberg played 30 times in the Bundesliga and finished above Borussia and second to Bayern Munich.
Leipzig have made a stable and impressive campaign as they sit second in their debut at Europa’s top table.
Mourinho was impressed with Forsberg form and play in the Sweden vs Italy match that he is “weighing up a move to take the flier to Old Trafford” possibly in January.
The 26-year-old, whose contract will expire on 2022 may move to another club as his agents have also confirmed that he is also aiming to make the next move to his career.
