Manchester United legend Paul Scholes may be the new Oldham Athletic manager as the post has been vacant since September 25.
Reports have indicated the Scholes, and his agent has already met with the club to discuss the position after the departure of John Sheridan.
While Scholes has not confirmed if he has taken up the position, but if this is true, this would be the legend’s first official management position.
Scholes worked with Ryan Giggs during his brief spell as a caretaker manager of Manchester United after David Moyes left. He also worked temporarily for Salford City with Phil Nevile which makes Oldham his first prominent management position.
Former Holland star Clarence Seedorf has also been interviewed for the position.
A board meeting is set to happen next week with Oldham chairman Simon Corney arrived in the country on Tuesday to prepare for the talks.
