Rafa Benitez may have had the chance to bring in 2 more players for Newcastle United but is believed to have chosen not to do so.
The Magpies had a difficult start in the Premier League but have managed to win three of their games making them fourth in the division.
Benitez may have his own reasons for choosing not to complete the deals, but if he did, this could have brought delight to United’s fans.
For his part, Benitez knows what he wants with his players and he will not get players he thinks will not fit his team.
One of those names is probably Joe Hart who is now on a loan move to West Ham United.
Benitez was rumoured to be very interested with Hart and there talks during the summer that he was moving to Newcastle United. However, Benitez was not impressed with Hart during his spell in Italy with Torino.
According to Mauro Pederzoli, Benitez is the kind of manager who will not go after big name signings but he wants players with discipline.
“Benitez doesn’t want headline-hogging players but discipline,” Pederzoli said.
“He avoids small players and ‘fancy dans’. He looks for ‘fair and strong’ players.
“Put together those players and you get a Benitez team.”
