Ashley has a couple of potential buyer on his list, but two of the investors who were linked with Newcastle stated that they are not interested in purchasing the club at the moment.

Yildiz Holding owner Murat Ulker has been rumoured to be interested in bidding for the club as well as Inter Milan president Erick Thohir. However, both denied that they will not buy the club.

“The company is not purchasing Newcastle United Football Club and no discussions about the team have taken place,” a representative for Yildiz Holding said.

“We wish them the best of luck in finding a new owner.”

After a few hours, Erick Thohir also provided a statement that he is mostly concentrating on Inter Milan and nothing else.

“In this moment I’m concentrating solely on Inter,” Thohir said.

“There are no such law in Europe that states I’m able to own two clubs in the same part of the world.

“I’m also the President in another club, D.C. United out in the United States that is in Washington.”

Fans are anticipating for a buyer to come forward so that the reign of Ashley could be over.

There are still reports of a Chinese consortium linked with buying the club, as well as financier Amanda Staveley and even WWE chairman Vince McMahon giving a sensational bid.
