Pogba is suffering from a hamstring problem after their game against Basel in the Champions League win earlier this month.
United will have a game against Chelsea on November 5 and Mourinho is fearful that Pogba will miss the opportunity to play against Chelsea. It is understandable the United is concerned over the possible absence of Pogba since the game against Chelsea will be their final game then the international break will follow.
It is likely that Pogba will return on November 18 when United play against Newcastle.
Mourinho has already sought the help of Sakari Orava, a top Scandinavian muscle tear specialist who also looked at Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembele to determine if Pogba’s injury is serious and if he would require a surgery.
Orava has good news though for Pogba as he told Finnish newspaper Helsingin Sanomat that the player’s injury could heal without the need of surgery, unlike Dembele.
Pogba has been receiving treatment at Carrington training base and still in good spirit. Mourinho has not placed time schedule on when Pogba would officially return and he would miss eight matches if he fails to return before November.
