The 17-year-old arrived back from India which he tweeted with a picture of himself on Chadwell Heath High Road near his family home in London.

“It was a great victory, thoroughly deserved. For him to get another goal in the final, to see him pick up the trophy and get the Golden Boot is a great achievement for him, a great achievement for the England team, the players and the staff,” Neil Critchley U23 manager said.

“It shows you we’ve got some good young players in the country at the minute.”

“He’ll get some time off at home and then we’ll decide in the next few days when he comes back into training and what sort of games he gets involved in over the next few weeks.”

“We need to keep winning in that competition, that’s important. The aim is to get out of the group and get into the last 16 knockout stages. that’ll give us something to aim for in the second half of the season, February I think it is.”
