Bournemouth

Another football club that plays in the Premier League is the AFC Bournemouth. The club was founded at Bournemouth Dorset in the year 1890. The club was included in the top tier in the English football league system. In 1899, the club was reformed as Bournemouth F.C afterward the team was changed again to Bournemouth and Boscombe Athletic F.C in 1923. In 1972 the team settled on their current club title, the AFC Bournemouth. They were also nicknamed as “The Cherries” in 1910 whilst the team played in the home games at Dean Court.

Red and black are their home colours with striped shirts, socks with black shorts. The club won their second and third tiers of English football and was also runners-up in the fourth tier. They also gained a Football League Trophy and Football League Third Division South Cup.

Today the team is currently managed by Eddie Howe, while the 2015-2016 season was the club’s first top division in England.
