West Bromwich Albion
The West Bromwich Albion FC is a football club of many names, the club can be called “The Baggies” or “The Throstles”, West Brom or Albion. West Brom was founded in 1878 and is considered one of pioneering members of the 1888 Football League. The club is an English football club based in the West Midlands. In 1900, the club plays in their home grounds, The Hawthorns. The club belongs in the top level in the English football and were once champions in the 1919-20 league in England. The club were also runners-up and won the FA Cup five times.
West Brom also succeeded on their first attempt to win the Football League Cup in 1966. They received their first major trophy after the league was founded in 1968. One of the longest period the club stayed in the top division of the football league was dated in 1949 and 1973. On the contrary, the club stayed out of the competition since 1986 to 2002.
The club’s crest is a white stripe with navy blue accent, this never changed since the club was founded. The Aston Villa and Wolverhampton Wanderers are the club’s traditional rivals and both teams fought in the Black Country Derby.
